Simple crusty herb and beautiful French bread that’s coated with garlic, parsley and melted butter

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. In a small mixing bowl, stir together the butter, garlic, parsley; salt and black pepper. Set aside
  2. Using a bread knife, slice the French bread in half lengthways. (If the bread is too long to fit in oven, slice the cut halves in half again.)
  3. Place the French bead, cut side up, on a flat work surface. Spread the butter mixture evenly over each cut side. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes. Cut the bread into slices and serve hot.
